Refund policy

This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all users of https://competiown.co.uk/ and should be read alongside our Competition Terms & Conditions and Terms of Service.
1. Competition Entry Fees (Digital Services)
1.1 When you purchase entries for a Competiown competition, you are purchasing a digital service that is provided immediately upon successful entry.
1.2 In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you acknowledge that once entry has been confirmed and the competition service has begun, you lose the right to cancel and receive a refund, except where stated below.
1.3 All competition entry fees are non-refundable, including where:
- You change your mind
- You fail to answer the qualifying question correctly
- You do not win a prize
- You forget to enter before the closing date
2. Free Entry Route
2.1 A free postal entry route is available for all competitions.
2.2 Details of how to enter for free are provided in our Competition Terms & Conditions.
3. Competition Cancellation
3.1 If Competiown Ltd cancels a competition for any reason, you will be offered:
- A full refund to the original payment method or
- Account credit for use in a future competition (at your choice)
3.2 Once a refund has been processed, Competiown Ltd will have no further liability to you in relation to the cancelled competition.
4. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
4.1 If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or more than once for the same entry, please contact us immediately at admin@competiown.co.uk.
4.2 We will investigate promptly and issue a refund where an error is confirmed.
5. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
5.1 If you have a payment query or dispute, you must contact us first to allow us the opportunity to resolve the issue.
5.2 Unjustified chargebacks may result in:
- Suspension or termination of your account
- Recovery of associated administrative and processing costs
This does not affect your statutory rights.
6. Prizes & Returns
6.1 Prizes are not returnable once delivered, except where:
- The prize is faulty or damaged on arrival
- The prize does not match the description provided
6.2 Any issues with a prize must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
6.3 Where a prize issue is confirmed, Competiown Ltd will work with the prize supplier to provide an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or a cash alternative at our discretion.
7. Statutory Rights
7.1 Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
